Crème 21 Youngtimer Rallye 2014

Young and Classic- that is the ‘motto’ of this German classic car event. Bob participated in it September 2014 and his co-driver was well-known German auto journalist, Tim Westermann. Theirs was the only Indo-German team and Volkswagen Classic Museum loaned them a rare 1973 VW K70.

About 200 teams took part and they drove over 1,000 kilometres in five days on the scenic back roads of Germany. Bob says, “Tim drove on two days and I got behind the wheel on the last three days. We both pushed hard and were even able to run with some far more powerful cars. All through the event we had a great dice with an Alfa Romeo Giulia and Austin Mini Cooper S.  I not only enjoyed the driving, but also the navigation, and though the road book was in German, I am really proud of the fact that in the two days I navigated, we never got lost even once”.
