After the overwhelmingly positive response to the custom paint job and reworked body of the Maruti Gypsy (Typhoon), Bob decided to completely do up a Maruti 800, in a somewhat similar manner.

A completely new front was fabricated and it included fitment of four round headlamps instead of the original two, and a full metal grille and bumper, with built in fog lights.

Smart side skirts complimented the wide alloy wheels and a nicely shaped rear bumper with a recessed number plate meant the center portion of the hatch could be smoothened and used to paint some striking graphics.

A prominent roof spoiler with built-in third brake light gave the rear a sporty touch and the stylish door mirrors added to the snazzy look. But it was the blue and white custom paint job with the water splashing effect that ensured “Splash” was a real head-turner.
